Miss Jennifer Magill is a consultant Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon at Barts and The London NHS Trust specialising in Paediatric ENT
She specialises in the expert management of all common ENT problems in children, including tonsil and adenoid surgery for tonsillitis and sleep apnoea, hearing loss, ear infections and glue ear. She routinely sees small children and babies with noisy breathing or breathing issues from birth. In addition, she has a particular interest in head and neck lumps in children, airway surgery and nose problems in children.
She graduated from Nottingham University Medical School and completed her specialist ENT training in North Thames London, working at The Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, Great Ormond Street, Imperial and Charing Cross Hospitals and Barts and The London. She has undertaken training in all areas of adult and paediatric ENT, ranging from complex head and neck, paediatric head and neck and airway, and rhinology. During training she developed an interest in Paediatric ENT.
After completing her training she has undertaken a prestigious Paediatric ENT fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital and has completed an observership At Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Centre in Ohio, gaining further experience in paediatric laryngeal and airway problems. She is now appointed as an NHS Consultant ENT surgeon at Barts and The London and specialises in all aspects of Paediatric ENT.
Miss Magill has completed a higher MD degree in surgical simulation and medical education from Imperial College London. She has published her research in numerous peer reviewed journals and multiple book chapters. In particular she has extensive experience in medical simulation and training of tomorrows ENT surgeons.
